The movie-making card game

Film Cue

Pick cards, pass your hand, and build the highest-scoring film. 3 rounds, 108 cards — every choice matters.

How It Works

  1. 1
    Pick a card

Look at your hand and choose one card to keep. Both players pick at the same time — no peeking.

  2. 2
    Pass your hand

Reveal your picks, then swap remaining cards with your opponent. You'll see what they didn't take.

  3. 3
    Score your film

Each card type scores differently — sets, pairs, combos, and more. After 3 rounds, the highest score wins.

The Cards

Six types of cards, six ways to score. Learning when to grab what is the whole game.

Screenplay Collect Acts 1, 2, and 3 for 10 pts
Package Match pairs of Directors or Actors for 5 pts each
Buzz The more you collect, the more each one is worth
Release Have the most in a tier to win 6 pts
Film Worth 1–3 pts, or triple when paired with a Vision card
Prestige Kept all game — most wins +6, fewest loses 6

Special cards

Green Light

Play two cards in one turn — then return the Green Light to the passing hand. Timing is everything.

Vision + Film

Play a Vision card, then place a Blockbuster, Indie Hit, or Cult Classic on it to triple the score.

3 rounds. 108 cards. One winner.
